Is Your photography authentic?
This 16 min video is interesting and thought-provoking, I thought it was worth sharing. Ian
How can we improve our photography and remain authentic? In today’s video we take a philosophical look at how authenticity is important in both life and photography. We discuss AI software, fake photography and how we should look inward to start creating photography that will resonate with people.

September Competition Category – “Temperate” – clarification
September Competition Category – temperate – clarification
Some members wanted some clarity around what this means. I think originally the intent was to focus on more local rather than tropical subjects. Some discussion with the committee decided the following would apply for this category.
Given the broad definition below we may see some lower GBR tropical within this definition.
The Temperate East Marine Region covers Australian waters from the southern boundary of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and Coral Sea marine park, to Bermagui in southern New South Wales.
I am mindful of the intent and as we are not playing for cattle stations it will be great to see some beautiful images of out temperate waters and marine life.
Safe diving, Ian
